    Pathways to Work Programme

In late 2007 LTCW brought together a number of member organisations to market what services they were able to deliver under the Pathways to Work Programme. A brochure was developed and produced by the Neuromuscular Centre in order to present the capability of the sector in the sub region and this has been used to make contact with private sector contractors delivering the programme. The brochure can be accessed from this link.

Four member organisations are now delivering a variety of services under the programme including:

    • Initial interviews offering advice and guidance to those people volunteering to take part in the PtWP
    • Support to build confidence and skills to enter the employment market
    • Job (or volunteering) placements to clients
    • Support for clients to remain in employment

Any voluntary organisation referring a client who succesfully completes the programme (i.e who is on a disablilty related benefit and enters employment for 16 hours or more er week ) is eligible for a bonus payment. Contact any one of the following for further details:

    Skills for Life Project Report

    • Vale Royal Disability Services (VRDS)
    • Chester Credit Union

    • Congleton & District Citizen's Advice Bureau
    • Barnabas Associates (as subcontractor to NACRO)

    Training Needs Analysis Summary Report

Learning Together Cheshire and Warrington (LTCW) is the learning consortium of the Learning and Skills Council sub-region.  At the time of publication of the Report the organisation has sixty-five members representing voluntary, community and faith groups who have an interest in learning and training.

LTCW joined the sub-regional ChangeUp consortium in 2005 and took the lead on  Workforce Development.  In 2006 the organisation undertook a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) questionnaire with its member organisations to identify the skills gaps and strengths in the local voluntary community and faith sector.

Twenty five organisations, ranging from large infrastructure bodies, to volunteer led grass roots community groups agreed to take part in the process; this report is limited to a summary of those responses.
