Current consultation - Informal Adult Learning (DIUS)
The Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) has recently launched a wide ranging consultation on informal Adult Learning in order to guide priorities for future planning and resourcing. The consultation period has now been extended to 12th June 2008.

Whilst individuals and organisations can provide their own responses to the consultation ( see http://www.adultlearningconsultation.org.uk/ ) Learning Together Cheshire & Warrington (LTCW) is developing a response through consultation and involvement of its members.

A discussion paper was produced which provided a starting point for our collective response from the voluntary sector in the sub-region.

Following the consultation workshop held on10th April a reworked response was drafted and this has been circulated to the membership with a deadline for any further comments. Some members have since responded with additional comment and these have been included in a furher draft . This draft response can be accessed from this link.

If you wish to make any comments related to our response please contact Simon Brown

It is intended to circulate a penultimate draft response to the membership for final approval just prior to the close of consultation for final comment.

The consultation document that has been made available by DfIUS can be accessed via this link . This document provides the basis for the draft response from LTCW.
