What is Learning Together Cheshire & Warrington?
Learning Together Cheshire & Warrington is a company limited by guarantee (with charitable aims). It is the development of an established learning network which has been in operation since 2000 (formerly the Cheshire and Warrington Voluntary Sector Learning Forum).
Learning Together welcomes not-for-profit voluntary and community organisations to join its Forum - those who are concerned with, or actively involved in learning and training within the sub-region. The Forum is open to all organisations in the sector for the benefit of their staff, volunteers, trustees, service users, or the community.
Who can join?
Voluntary and Community Members
Not-for-profit voluntary and community organisations are welcome to become members of the Learning Together Learning Network free of charge. Organisations nominate an individual representative who will receive information on behalf of the organisation, although other individuals from the organisation may participate at other Forum activities at different times and can be nominated to receive information. Organisations will receive a wide range of learning related information and support.
Associate members
Any individual/organisation outside the voluntary and community sector eg. statutory and private companies which are interested in supporting Learning Together Cheshire & Warrington and which share some common aims may be invited (by the Board of Directors) to hold associate membership for a period of time. They will receive selected information.
What are the Membership benefits?
All members of the Forum have access to a growing range of services and support.
Full members receive:
- Free membership
- All publications published by Learning Together including Newsletter and Training Calendar (free space for articles / training opportunities – subject to space)
- Website (as a resource) including a restricted members area
- Free Training Needs Analysis and report with funding information
- Invitation to all events held by Learning Together
- Access to support services provided by Learning Together and its members / partners eg funding & Quality standards information, learning and training opportunities etc
- Networking opportunities with like minded organisations with a learning focus
- Direct communication link with partners including the Learning and Skills Council and Local Education Authorities (Cheshire and Warrington)
- Up to date information regarding development within the voluntary and community sector and partnership initiatives – locally, regionally and nationally
- Representation for the sector on local, regional and national partnership bodies and forums
- Funding partnership opportunities
By being a member of the Network you become a voice representing your organisation at various events in Cheshire and Warrington.
